2/5/2012 February 2012 JanaI love every single concert we have the blessing of giving. But some of them strike something in my heart, my soul. Last night Ron and I gave a concert at a tiny fellowship of Arabic Christians. These kids were so helpful from the moment I got there, so delighted to be together....so thrilled to live in the USA where they are free to practice their faith in Christ. Their English was amazing, and clearly, they were hard workers in school and in life! It was a small gathering, but filled with such a presence of the Holy Spirit. The kids sang with all their hearts (even the "tweens" and teens, who in many cultures struggle with the "too-cool" thing), and many of the parents and leaders stood up and did the motions too! Afterwards as we talked, I heard stories that inspired me and challenged me. Some of these families ran for their lives from some pretty terrible opposition. When I asked about it, one man explained the cross tattoo on his right wrist, which is revealed with every handshake, be it in business or in fellowship. These people risked much to let it be known they belong to Jesus. And consequently, they shine with a pure love from Him that is crystal clear and powerful. Here is a little group of girls from this church that just stole my heart away. You might see them at an upcoming concert, so keep your eyes open for them!
